Judo originates in nineteenth century Japan, and means "gentle way" Aside from one exclusion, judo has been an olympic sport since Tokyo's Games of the XVIII Olympiad, with womens judo only relatively recently being competed at olympic level. Unsuprisingly dominated by Japan, Great British athletes have failed to get olympic gold in this sport at any of the weight categories in it's forty year tenure as an olympic sport.
Location - Scout Hall
Judo : If I must be honest, either judo or taekwondo was going to be held here, but I thought I'd leave the less violent looking one for the scout hall. Centrally located, the scout hall is large enough to accomodate several judo matches at once, and still have room for spectators. It would also be interesting to see if the judoists could dib their dibs and dub their dubs.
