After the launch of Lord Of The Rings in 2001, the number of people signing up to join archery classes shot up. Milngavie being Milngavie, there are two archery clubs in the area, but a very easy choice for me, the one with the fantastic scenery.
Location - Mugdock Park
Archery : The Green Hollow Bowmen's home, Mugdock Park, is not only perfect to fit in many spectators, but it is also an amazing backdrop for the bow and arrow based sport. Hopefully it would also give one of the Green Hollow Bowmen the chance for a home gold medal. Given the local wildlife, it is recommended that all participants are careful and aim for the bullseye, and avoid the bulls' eyes.
